Easy Cajun Spiced Chicken Breasts

Easy Chicken Recipes - Cajun Spiced Chicken

Cajun Spiced Chicken

This easy chicken recipe is made with Cajun spices, chicken breasts, and a little vegetable oil. Plan to make this about 1 hour before you begin to cook.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 boneless chicken breast halves

Preparation:

Combine the seasonings and oil to form a paste, adding more oil if needed. Rub all over the chicken breasts; place in a food storage bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Grill or broil the chicken for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side, depending on thickness. Chicken is done when juices run clear when pricked with a fork.

Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups finely crushed graham crackers
1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/3 cup melted butter or margarine
2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
3 8-ounce packages of cream cheese
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips, melted and cooled

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine crushed graham crackers and powdered sugar. Blend in melted margarine. Press into the bottom of a 9" springform pan.

In another bowl, combine the strawberries with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar; set aside.

For the filling: Using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese with the condensed milk until combined. Add vanilla and eggs. Divide this mixture in half. Add the melted chocolate to one half of the mixture. Pour this (the chocolate batter) into the crust lined pan. Add the strawberry and sugar mixture to the remaining batter. Spoon over the chocolate filling.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for half an hour. Remove sides of the pan. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Garnish with strawberry halves.

A Prayer from Rev. Billy Graham for our nation

THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbors’ possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (Microwaveable)

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.

Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well..

Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.

The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?

Because, now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Remember those who gave

Today is Memorial day. We remember all those who have given their lives so that we might be free. It is good for us to look back and recognize all those who went from the Randall area and served this wonderful country.
Pray that our politicians don't undo what our soldiers, Marines and Sailors have fought so hard to do................Keep all men and women free! Long live the memories of all who gave. -- Preaching for food

Today is the day the Lord has made

When you think about it, today is the only day that we have. Yesterday is gone. There is nothing you can do to change anything about yesterday. Tomorrow is not here yet. There is nothing you can do to control how tomorrow will be. Today is the special day that the Lord has blessed us with. Satan would like us to wake up grumpy and whiny looking at everything in a negative way. But God's word declares that we should enjoy the day and rejoice in it. Today, take the time to look at the wonderful things that "today" has offered to us. -- preaching for food

Today was a day of blessing for the people of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Randall, Mn. Almost 100 people enjoyed a wonderful Easter Breakfast prepared by the women of the Church. Then we had a Worship service which had great music provided by the Choir under the leadership of Laurie Venske. The Church was filled with the celebration voices of the congregation as everyone sang praises to our Lord. God truly annointed his word as it went into all our hearts today. -- preaching for food
